Order & refund terms

Clear scope. Fair cancellation.

Version 2026-09-14-v1 · Updated September 14, 2026

The short version

Cancel before editing starts for a full refund. After work begins, we account for documented work completed and refund the unperformed part where applicable. If we fail to deliver the agreed service, we review correction or an appropriate refund. Your statutory rights and payment-provider rights always remain available.

01Your order

PKSTUDIO provides custom video editing. Before editing starts, we agree in writing the format, number and length of videos, source-footage limits, style, included work, revisions, price and delivery schedule. References describe agreed techniques and direction; they are not a promise of identical footage or guaranteed views, sales or platform approval.

Standard orders are paid in full upfront. Orders above 30 videos may use expressly agreed staged payments on request. Payment alone does not confirm an immediate production start. If we cannot agree a scope and schedule you accept before editing begins, you may cancel for a full refund.

02Changes and revisions

Two rounds of revisions within the agreed brief are included unless a separately agreed order states otherwise. New concepts, additional footage or extra deliverables require an agreed change of scope and price before we do that work. Necessary remedies for our failure to meet the agreed service are not automatically limited by the revision count.

Asking for corrections, opening or downloading a preview, or failing to answer immediately does not automatically mean acceptance or loss of refund rights. Approval of a direction is recorded explicitly in the conversation.

03Cancellation

  • Before editing starts: a full refund. Reviewing your enquiry or creating a payment request does not by itself count as editing work.
  • After you authorise work and editing starts: for a change-of-mind cancellation, we provide an itemised account of work reasonably completed within the agreed scope and calculate any refund for the unperformed portion. Any charge must be permitted by applicable law and cannot exceed the agreed order price.
  • Packages: we do not automatically keep the entire price because one video was started. Completed videos are valued at their agreed package allocation; work in progress is assessed proportionately. We do not retrospectively reprice completed package videos at the $40 standalone rate.
  • Client delays can require a revised schedule, but silence alone does not forfeit the payment or prove delivery.

04Problems with delivery or quality

If a file is missing, inaccessible or materially differs from the agreed brief, contact us with the order reference and the specific issue. We assess it against the agreed scope and offer an appropriate correction or refund. We will not require you to accept studio credit instead of a refund to which you are entitled.

If we cannot supply the agreed service and you do not accept an alternative, we refund the undelivered portion; a full refund may be appropriate where the order has no usable agreed value or the law requires it. A missed agreed deadline is reviewed on its facts, including any essential deadline agreed before payment. We do not guarantee creative satisfaction in every subjective preference, but this does not excuse a failure to deliver the agreed service.

05First video credit

A first single video costs $40 and covers one vertical video up to 60 seconds from up to 10 minutes of source footage. A confirmed $40 payment is credited once toward the first package for the same client: for example, a $180 package leaves $140 to pay.

The credit is not a new cash payment and is not applied to a second standalone video. Ask for an adjusted invoice before paying for the package. Refunded first-video payments do not also create credit. For a cancellation involving both orders, we reconcile the test payment, package payment, credit and work supplied; the same amount is not refunded twice.

06Consumer withdrawal rights

Mandatory consumer rights depend on the law applicable to the order. Where a statutory cooling-off period applies, this policy does not shorten it. For example, eligible EU consumers generally have 14 days from agreeing a distance service contract to withdraw, subject to the applicable rules and exceptions.

A request to start during that period must be express and separate from accepting these terms. If you request an early start and later withdraw, only a lawful proportionate charge for services actually supplied may apply. Loss of a withdrawal right after full performance requires the consent and acknowledgement required by law. A custom editing service is not automatically non-refundable merely because it is personalised. We do not treat a download by itself as a blanket waiver.

07How to request a refund

Reply in the conversation or to the contact on your invoice, or use our X or Threads contact below. Include your order or payment reference, the affected deliverable and the outcome you request. Please report problems promptly so we can investigate, but there is no blanket 48-hour deadline that removes statutory or payment-provider rights.

We confirm the assessment and any refund amount in writing. Refunds are returned through the original payment transaction where possible. We initiate an agreed or legally required refund promptly within applicable deadlines; the time it appears depends on Payoneer and your bank. We do not deduct processing fees from an agreed full refund.

08Card and payment disputes

Contacting us can help resolve an issue, but our terms do not prohibit or penalise a legitimate payment dispute or card chargeback and do not replace provider procedures or deadlines. The payment provider (Payoneer) and card issuers decide disputes under their own applicable rules. We do not promise that a transaction qualifies for any buyer or seller protection program.

We may provide the agreed brief, correspondence, payment record and evidence of electronic delivery or access to the payment provider to resolve a dispute. No party should seek duplicate reimbursement for the same amount. A refund is never conditional on closing a dispute before the refund is properly arranged through the provider.

09Your footage and use of the work

You retain your rights in the materials you supply. You must have permission for their intended use. Any rights or licences in the finished edit, project files and third-party assets are as stated in the agreed order and applicable licences.

For a refunded deliverable, any restriction on using the editing work must be consistent with the agreed licence, refund resolution and law; it does not transfer your original footage to us. A partial refund does not automatically revoke rights to fully paid, unaffected deliverables. We ask for your permission before publishing client footage or results as portfolio material.

10Earlier orders and overriding rights

This version applies to orders for which it is provided and accepted. An earlier order, or a more favourable guarantee already offered or agreed for that order, is not retroactively reduced by this update. Keep your quote and correspondence so we can apply the correct terms.

Nothing here excludes a liability or remedy that cannot lawfully be excluded. If a provision conflicts with mandatory law or an applicable payment-provider requirement, that requirement takes precedence. These terms are not an approval or endorsement by any payment provider.
